A California cannabis cultivation company decided not to apply for proper water use and environmental permits, even though required, resulting in a $150,000 fine for the grow.

When in doubt always call the local county or city planning and use departments. It’s important to develop a relationship with those entities to ask what would be required. In this case, if they would have taken the time to do it, they would not have been fined.
