$3,000,000 Fine: Non-Permitted Grows

In California, there was a total of 14,495 illegally cultivated marijuana plants that were being grown in 104 hoop houses, along with over 7,590 pounds of processed marijuana bud, which equates to 3,442,766 grams of the product. California was the first state to legalize medical cannabis in 1996, then in 2018 is when adult-use and over 400 pages of regulations were released. The state set up a regulated program and allowed licensed operators to register with the state and become fully legal cannabis operator in the new regulated environment.

Mendocino County Code Enforcement, who conducted a parallel investigation, will also be pursuing legal action with fines in excess of three (3) million dollars for observed violations.
